Their is a really good dvd, that is very helpful, with dog problems, it's called the Dog Whisper. It sounds corny, but seriously it is of much help handling alot of really bad habits dog can have, one example is of a Great Dane scared of shiny floors or doors, its amazing to watch. Alot of issues can be resolved. The main theme to it is, you are in command & you are leader of the pack/boss/master. I was very suprised just what this guy could do in such a short time. As it is actually very bad for your dog to be crazy & out of control, running jumping on people & chasing even themselves around, its not good for the dog. An anxious dog is very sad situation. So if you can find this dvd it's worth a look.
Helana Valley Park
Helena Valley Park, is a great place for your dog. Situated on Helana Valley Rd,
You are able to drive your car into the park, the track is about 10mins, & comes to a great carpark, with alot of places to park. When walking with your dog & family or just by yourself, it is essintal that you take some water with you as some of the tracks are up to an hour.
Their is a river & a big lake/resivour around the trails, but you can be assured that your dog will love this park, as well as you. The scenery is magic alot of wildflowers at this time of year October / November, so take your camera too. Images above are of the park.
If you go early enough in the morning, you will be able to see kangaroos, birds & native wildlife at its best. Be careful where you are walking & i suggest you stay on the trails/tracks & let some one know where you are going. It is a very big park.
You are able to have a picnic their too, but please make sure you take all your rubbish, as a sort of park like this, thats one of the best in Perth, we dont want closed as it is beautiful.
